Royal Visit to Ayrshire, HRH The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex - 28th June 2017

His Royal Highness, The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex visited the Sportscotland National Sports Training Centre in Largs and was received by the Lord-Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran, John Duncan, CVO, QPM. His Royal Highness is Patron of the British Paralympic Association. As he toured the centre he spoke to some of athletes and tried his hand at a number of sports along the way. 

.His Royal Highness later visited Centrestage Music Theatre in Kilmarnock where he was met by the Vice Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran, John Dalrymple Hamilton, DL OBE. Prince Edward is well known for his keen interest in the theatre and performing arts and it is understood that he thoroughly enjoyed the various performances that took place during the visit.
