In November 2023 it was announced that Darvel Area Regeneration Team (DART) had been awarded the prestigious Kings Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of their work in the regeneration of Darvel. (See earlier post)

 On Saturday 10th February 2024 the Lord-Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran, Sheriff Iona McDonald OBE presented the group with the crystal and certificate to mark this significant achievement. The event was attended by many local dignitaries, representatives of local organisations and members of the public.
