Re-dedication of the Sanctuary and Halls of Kay Park Parish Church, Kilmarnock.

Following extensive repair and refurbishment the Kay Park Church Kilmarnock and associated halls were re-dedicated on Sunday 21st August.

The service was led by the Very Revd Dr David Lacy, the Parish Minister, and the sermon was preached by the Right Revd Dr. Russell Barr, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland who is himself a former Kilmarnock resident.

The service was attended by the Lord Lieutenant, Mr Duncan and his wife along with other local dignitaries.

The work, which has been carried out on a phased basis over a number of months, has completely transformed the Church and as well as giving it a contemporary feel, makes it a much more flexible space suitable for a range of purposes.
