The Lord-Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran, Sheriff Iona McDonald OBE recently presented Rev. Archibald Ford with his British Empire Medal. Rev. Ford, who now lives in Troon, was joined by family and friends (pictured above) for the presentation. He was awarded the Honour in the New Year’s Honours List for his services to the community of Lochwinnoch.

The Lord Lieutenant said that the Honour was well deserved and reflected Rev.Ford’s commitment and dedication to the Church and the community for over thirty years. She also remarked that his many achievements also included overseas mission work in Botswana in addition to his involvement with many community groups in the town.
