Investiture Ceremony, Palace of Holyroodhouse Edinburgh, Tuesday 4th July 2017.

An Investiture Ceremony was held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse Edinburgh on Tuesday 4th July. During the ceremony the Lord-Lieutenant was presented with his medal by Her Majesty The Queen, having been appointed as a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO) in the New Years Honours List for services to The Queen.

A number of other residents of Ayrshire who were also awarded Honours in the New Years Honours List were also presented with their medals. They included Mr George Powell, (pictured below with the Lord-Lieutenant) who was awarded an MBE for services to the Boys' Brigade and the community in Ayrshire
