The Clan Hunter Gathering was held in the grounds of Hunterston Castle on Friday 24 July. At the event there was emphasis on the future of Clan Hunter and in establishing a Bond of Friendship with other, invited clans with their clan chiefs signing the Bond after addressing those present. On behalf of the Lord Lieutenant, Depute Lieutenant Matt Smith made the opening speech and delivered the good wishes of the Lieutenancy. Later at the dinner, he moved a toast to Clan Hunter.

 

 The event was well attended and in addition to Clan Hunter members, a number of other clans attended including representatives from overseas. The following images capture some of the proceedings;

The Isle of Cumbrae Pipe band led the processions both before and after the ceremonies. Over the weekend there were several other events,  relating  directly to Clan Hunter members.
