Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla – Coronation Champions

Their Majesties, King Charles III and Queen Camilla have rewarded 500 of the nation’s most extraordinary volunteers as part of the official Coronation celebrations.
The volunteers from across the United Kingdom have been recognised for their contributions and crowned Coronation Champions. The judging panel considered nearly 5000 nominations before deciding on the winners all of whom have an unwavering commitment to volunteering.

The Champions in Ayrshire and Arran are as follows;
• Mr Frank McHugh, Dalmellington
• Mr James Adams, Kilmarnock
• Ms Sheila Young, Kilmarnock
• Ms Sarah McCready, Kilmarnock
• Mr Michael Gettings, Isle of Arran
• Mr William Muir, New Cumnock

All of the volunteers selected as the nation’s Coronation Champions will now be invited to attend one of the official Coronation celebrations, such as the Windsor Castle Coronation Concert or a Coronation Garden Party. They will also receive a specially designed, official Coronation Champions pin and a certificate signed by Their Majesties
