Together at Christmas Carol Concert, Paisley Abbey – 17th December 2025

The Lord – Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran Sheriff Iona McDonald and the Lord Lieutenant of Renfrewshire Col. Peter McCarthy jointly hosted a very special Together at Christmas Carol Concert in the stunning setting of Paisley Abbey on Wednesday 17th December 2025

The concert, supported by the Royal Foundation, was one of a number held across the United Kingdom and was inspired by the Together at Christmas carol service hosted by the Princess of Wales which is held annually in Westminster Abbey.

It was attended by nearly 600 invited guests to thank them for the contribution that they have made to supporting others in their community during the year.

The Lord – Lieutenant would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this memorable evening and in particular, The Royal Foundation, Rev. Jim Gibson, Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra, South Ayrshire Chamber Singers, Jodie McFarlane, and Jacqueline Robertson and colleagues.
